Good Head
Good Head started as a class project created by a team of myself and four other students in LMU’s M-School. Tasked with creating a social awareness campaign, we focused on the often overlooked topic of college-aged men’s mental health after discovering that only 27.8% of LMU students who utilized Student Psychological Services were male. From this insight, we created a campaign that infused education with humor to make mental health more approachable and ultimately make male students more mindful of their own mental health and more willing to seek professional resources when needed.
I designed and oversaw the production of 150 hats—high-quality, wearable conversation starters. The hats and message of Good Head became quickly beloved on campus, and 15% of the project’s profits were donated to foundations supporting men’s mental health resources.
